Dr.G's Phosphate Remover permanently removes Phosphates, Silica, Heavy Metals, Organic Compounds and other pollutants from your aquarium water. Phosphates in your tank are by-products of excess food and decomposed organic wastes from fish and other living creatures. Low levels of phosphate are indispensable for the growth of soft and stony corals.
Unwanted algae will use Phosphate & Silica as nutrients, so removing Phosphate & Silica with this product, will eliminate algae blooms.
Unlike other products, our Phosphate Remover will not leach any material back into the aquarium, even when fully saturated.
Do not over feed. Thaw any frozen foods before administering to your tank. Phosphate is also present in some poor Phytoplankton preparations, where you are simply adding dead organisms to your system. Using Dr. G's LIVE Phytoplankton will help eliminate these problems and provide the necessary nutrition for your corals.
Dr.G's Phosphate Remover is the purest form of super absorbent "Ferric Oxide" available. It does not leach aluminum into your aquarium, will not affect pH, or hardness and will last for several months. Replace when Phosphate levels start to rise above 0.02 PPM.
Directions: Use in Media Bags or Fluidized Bed Reactors (Media bag included). Do not pulverize the granules. Add the desired amount to filter bag. Rinse (with the contents inside) with cold RO water until water runs clear of dust and resin particles. Place the Media Bag in your filtration system, ideally 'sandwiched' inside two filter pads. Dr. G's Phosphate Remover can also be used in Phosphate Reactors/Fluidized Beds.
